It is our hope that we stay connected through the Word/Prayer/One Another ( in-person & virtually/digitally).
Thank you in advance for doing the right thing by honoring our governing officials and staying home to stop the spread of this virus. Additionally, thank you for trusting God and our church leadership for creative ways to be the church outside the walls of the building at 801 W. Mulberry.
How to stay informed?
Our main communication of information regarding services, etc. will be:
social media (Facebook)- Fresh Start Kokomo
If you know someone who is not receiving information,
please let us know.
Positive outcomes this past week :
-The food pantry continued to service the community in creative ways by taking food orders to cars for those who came for help.
-Our online services....Over 1000 views from yesterday's service.
-Hope for Today is offering daily encouragement through social media/email.
-Facebook data shows more and more likes/interactions each day/post. Thousands of people have interacted with our ministry in the past week.
-Jesus is still Lord!
What’s the plan for service March 29th?
In accordance to recommendations/ordinances set forth by our Howard County Officials, we will not meet for services at FSM. We will continue to evaluate what actions need taken week by week in regards to service format/methods used.
The March 29th, Sunday service will be held online via Facebook Live beginning at 10:30am. We encourage you to participate and livestream the services on your devices and televisions. Join in faith with your family and friends as we walk through this time of being stretched in our methods. Following worship, Pastor Chad will share the Word.
If you have prayer requests you can private message to the above forms of communication, call the church office 765-452-3308, or instant message during one of the live services.
If you're unable to join online, let God's Word and the Holy Spirit guide you. Consider using the Acts 2:42 model as another idea. In addition, consider calling a friend and sharing a truth you studied from Scripture, then offer prayer. This is a time to be creative not critical. With the help of the Holy Spirit the Church will grow because of His faithfulness and we will be stronger because of this season.
Now is a great time to gather as a family in your home to study the Word, pray, fellowship, and break bread/share a meal. This can be done with creativity including using technology when necessary to connect with others. Most importantly, walk humbly with one another and go with the flow of all the changes praying and believing this is the hour we shine as the church outside the four walls.
We're working on creative ways to connect with the children/youth.
Hope for Today:
Daily at 2pm Pastor Chad and Pastor Justin offer prayer/devotion/worship via Facebook Live. Please note that changes may be made to this schedule starting later this week.
We will continue to offer food for those in need at this time. Hours of operation are Sunday's 4-6 and Monday's 1-3. If you have questions about the pantry, please call the Church Office 765-452-3308 or Sherry 765-437-6006. If you would like to volunteer and have not been around someone ill the past two weeks, contact Sherry to find out how you might be of help.
You may give tithe/offerings online at www.freshstartkokomo.org, mail to 801 W. Mulberry St. Kokomo, IN 46901, or call ahead to the Church office and make arrangements to drop off face to face. We thank you in advance for your continued contributions that advances the Gospel in our local community and across the Globe.
Keep looking to Jesus as you:
Lean into the Word; pray with and for one another.
Give grace to one another as we all face unexpected challenges.
Find ways to help one another. During these uncertain times, it's easy to get discouraged and start pointing fingers at what we don't like. Let’s be creative in helping one another using God’s wisdom as we walk by faith. This season will pass and how you treat others matters.
Pastor Chad and the Leadership Team of Fresh Start
Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.
During these uncertain times, we are reminded that the church is a movement we are part of that honors God by making more disciples for Jesus.
Every one of us who follows Jesus is a person of hope so each of our homes can be a center of hope! Be hope! Be the Church! Be expectant of what God can do!
